名词的复数形式
名词复数形式构成方式如下:

a. To make most nouns plural, add -s.
多数名词的复数形式是后面加 -s.

b. Add -es to nouns ending in -sh, ch, -ss and -x.
以 -sh, ch, -ss 和 -x结尾的名词,后面加 -es.

c. If a noun ends in a consonant + -y, change the y to i and add -es, as in (c).
辅音+ y结尾的名词,把 -y变成-i, 再加 -es.

d. If -y is preceded by a vowel, add only -s, as in (d).
元音 + y 结尾的名词,直接加 -s.

(Exceptions: beliefs, chiefs, roofs, cuffs, cliffs.)
以-fe或-f结尾的名词,把-fe或-f都改成 -ves,
但不包括这些单词 beliefs, chiefs, roofs, cuffs, cliffs.

f. The plural form of nouns that end in -o is sometimes -oes and sometimes -os.
以-o结尾的名词,有些加-oes, 有些加 -os.
-oes 结尾: tomatoes, potatoes, heroes, echoes
-os 结尾 : zoos, radios, studios, pianos, solos, sopranos, photos, autos, video
-oes or -os (两者都可以): zeroes/zeros, volcanoes/volcanos, tornadoes/tornados, mosquitoes/mosquitos
